Wesley, Tara, Hero, Asher, and Amara

February 2, 2011

It's been quite awhile since I posted. The problem started in October when my computer stopped turning on and couldn't access my pictures to write birthday blogs for Wes and Amara. Then I just forgot. Please forgive my silliness.

So, here is what has happened with us Warner's-

Hero became enrolled in a charter school called Sky Mountain. Through Sky Mountain we homeschool Hero under the supervision of our ES (educational specialist, who is really a credentialed teacher) Lisa. We are having a great time homeschooling. Hero is starting sound out words, she is enrolled in class with fellow homeschoolers where they have PE, a Bible lesson, and a history lesson, she amazes us with her conversation, she's becoming a skilled artist, and is enrolled in two other classes: gymnastics and a dance class. Being her mom is pretty awesome. I feel so lucky to have this time with her.

My wonderful husband is very busy being a teacher. He is the CAHSEE (California High School Exit Exam) teacher at a continuation school. His job is taxing, but life giving as well. He is preparing kids, to pass a test, that some are just not motivated to pass and others struggle to pass because of their English skills. His job also takes a lot out of him because it's his first year as a teacher and he has so much he is still learning. Yet through all of difficulties he has the chance to breathe life and love into some hopeless kids. When Wes is not working, he is mentoring young men, spending time with his girls, being a leader at College Group (which we host at our home on Wednesdays), learning how to be a good older brother, and always being a great husband.

Amara and Asher are both learning self control for their ages/stages. Amara is now 15 months and is very busy. Asher is 2 and half and also very busy. They both are learning to play quietly on their own and to help put things away. They are also great cleaners! Asher is always wanting to do dishes and Amara is always wiping things down. What a great help and gift they are, huh?

I am sure you will be happy to know we are trying for baby number four, which really excites us. Hero is praying for a brother, and we can't help but hope for a boy.

Umm... things that are going on with me? I am very busy being a mom, serving in our church community, writing another blog: beingmrswarner.blogspot.com, learning to be an organizer, getting pruned by God, taking the time to be a bride to my husband, loving, and giving myself away without question.

That's us caught up. I will do my best to do this more. I am still getting the hang of this blogging business.
